     Fred C. Needham was born in 1910.1 He was the son of William Columbus Needham and Bertie Dugan.1 He married Lucille (-?-).1 He was described as an ex-convict with a record stretching back to 1934. He was convicted of theft in 1937 which sent him to Huntsville State Prison for 3 years. He also served a one year sentence in the Minneapolis, Minnesota workhouse. The last entry on Needham's police record in Dallas was made on May 5th, 1959 when he was booked for investigation of operating a confidence game. No disposition was made of the case.1 Fred C. Needham died on 3 September 1959 in Belleville, Illinois, near St. Louis.1 He was the apparent victim of a gangland-style ride. Illinois authorities said Needham, 49, a native of McKinney, had been shot 3 times in the head and once in the back. The body was identified through an Army discharge certificate found in his pocket.1 He was buried in McKinney, Texas.1
