Charles Scigel Needham

     Charles Scigel Needham was born on 23 October 1889 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of John Logan Needham and Minnie Marie Gollihugh. Charles Scigel Needham married Eva Mae Spruill on 24 December 1908 in Memphis, Texas.¹ Later, they lived in Lincoln, Arkansas and then moved back to Texas in about 1924. Until his retirement in 1951, he farmed at Salt Fork, Texas and was active in the affairs of that community and in the work of the Salt Fork Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Wellington Masonic Lodge. He lived in the Salt Fork community for 29 years.¹ Charles Scigel Needham died on 26 December 1953 in a hospital, Wellington, Collingsworth Co., Texas, at age 64.¹ He died of bowel compaction.¹ He was buried on 28 December 1953 in Quail Cemetery, Quail, Collingsworth Co., Texas.¹
