     Mary Elizabeth Meiser was born on 7 March 1755 in Millbach, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Henry Meiser and Annie Marie (-?-). Mary Elizabeth Meiser married Conrad/Cornelius Hafley circa 1775 in Perry Township, Snyder Co., Pennsylvania.1,2 Her married name was Mary Elizabeth Hafley.1,2 (The headstone on her grave titles her as "Consort of Cornelius Hafley". It is thought that this means they were only married by common law and not by a legal marriage ceremony). She died on 5 September 1845 in Wildwood, Blount Co., Tennessee, at age 90.1 She was buried in Eusebia Cemetery, about 12 miles northeast of Maryville, Blount Co., Tennessee, on old Sevierville Pike.
