John Paul Munsey Sr.

     John Paul Munsey Sr. was born on 4 July 1880 in Ashville, Tennessee.¹ John Paul Munsey Sr. also went by the name of Top.¹ He married Mable Maude Needham, daughter of John Logan Needham and Minnie Marie Gollihugh, on 18 September 1910 in Graham, Texas.¹ Shortly after marriage, Mr. Munsey established a blacksmith business in Newcastle, Texas and they lived there for 18 years. They moved from there to Wichita Falls, Texas, where they resided for 4 years, and then finally moved to Hollis, Oklahoma in 1933. They lived in Hollis from that point on.¹ John Paul Munsey Sr. died in 1943 in Hollis, Oklahoma.¹ He died very suddenly on a Monday evening while returning to his home after laboring all day at his blacksmith shop. He was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Hollis, Oklahoma.¹
