Effie Jane Webb

     Effie Jane Webb was born on 13 Jun 1914 in Stuart, Hughes County, Oklahoma.⁵ She was the daughter of Theodore Wesley Webb and Julia Ann Johnson. Effie Jane Webb married Theodore Isbell, son of George Washington Isbell and Georgia Eliza Walker, on 31 Aug 1934 in Wellington, Collingsworth County, Texas.⁵ Her married name was Effie Jane Isbell. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. She had a passion for sewing and knitting and made lots of clothing, blankets, dolls, etc. She also enjoyed tending her gardens and her many potted plants and flowers. She grew all sorts of fruits and vegetables in her backyard. Effie was very family oriented and loved cooking and having family get-togethers. Whether it was Christmas, Thanksgiving, a family reunion, a birthday party or any other family function, she would be one of the first ones there. She was especially close to her sister Bettie. Together they ran a business making drapes in Effie's backyard shop in Oildale, California. Effie was a faithful Christian throughout her life. She regularly attended church and had read the Bible several times.¹ She died on 12 Feb 2005 in Emmanuel Convalescent Hospital, Bakersfield, Kern County, California, at age 90.¹ She was buried on 16 Feb 2005 in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Bakersfield, Kern County, California.¹
