Effie Jane Webb

     Effie Jane Webb was born on 13 June 1914 in Stuart, Hughes Co., Oklahoma.⁵ She was the daughter of Theodore Wesley Webb and Julia Ann Johnson. Effie Jane Webb married Theodore Isbell, son of George Washington Isbell and Georgia Eliza Walker, on 31 August 1934 in Wellington, Collingsworth Co., Texas.⁵ Her married name was Effie Jane Isbell. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. She had a passion for sewing and knitting and made lots of clothing, blankets, dolls, etc. She and her sister Bettie ran a business making drapes in Effie's backyard shop in Oildale, California. She also enjoyed tending her gardens and her many potted flowers. She regularly attended church and had read the Bible several times. She was very Democratic in her political views and stubbornly supported Bill Clinton's controversial presidency to the end.⁴ She died on 12 February 2005 in Emmanuel Convalescent Hospital, Bakersfield, Kern Co., California, at age 90.⁴ She was buried on 16 February 2005 in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Bakersfield, Kern Co., California.⁴
